Banksy merkage

Supposedly... I believe it's actually by an artist named Arofish, inspired by / with reference to Byron:

"She walks in beauty, like the night
Of cloudless climes and starry skies;
And all that's best of dark and bright
Meet in her aspect and her eyes:
Thus mellowed to that tender light
Which heaven to gaudy day denies.

One shade the more, one ray the less,
Had half impaired the nameless grace
Which waves in every raven tress,
Or softly lightens o'er her face;
Where thoughts serenely sweet express
How pure, how dear their dwelling place.

And on that cheek, and o'er that brow,
So soft, so calm, yet eloquent,
The smiles that win, the tints that glow,
But tell of days in goodness spent,
A mind at peace with all below,
A heart whose love is innocent!"

I remember seeing this - do you reckon that the speech bubble was added after the stencil (by someone having a dig at banksy and thinking it was one of his) or is it part of the stencil i.e. Arofish having a dig at Banksy and if so is this "stencillers beef" or, er, do you have beter things to wonder about?!

well you know my feelings on banksy from that 35 bus ride a few weeks ago.

'Abandon Hope (9am-5pm)'

like alex said, "you abandon hope!". banksy's a smug fool.

'she walks in beauty like the night' was nicked by brett anderson for the opening line from a song on suede's 'dog man star'. what an embarassing thing to know, let alone share with people...
