JERONA FRUITS UPDATE: FEB 2005

Latest news from one of South London's finest Underground Labels:

"JFEP001: JERONA GLOBAL SESSIONS VOL. 1

Jerona fruits come with their debut ep on the label, featuring outstanding songs from all corners of the world?| Coming soon!

A: Greg Packer & MC Assassin- Supernatural (AUSTRALIA)

No introduction is needed for these two, but we'll give u one anyway. Greg and Assassin follow up their last club smashing release on Jerona Fruits 005, Landslide with a beautifully deep, bass drenched floor filler track. Supernatural has all the ingredients of a great tune, with soundscape pads, heavy beats, loads of low end bass and soulful vocals from the man like Assassin. These guys have proven the public right with this release as Greg and Assassin have recently wiped the floor with the Perth dance music awards, with Greg winning best producer, best dj and best label (interphase) and Mc Assassin picking up best mc of course.

B: Mijatoho vs. Tin man- Better Run (SWITZERLAND)

After his last release on Jerona Fruits 003, Mijatoho has been a busy boy settling down in his studio in Zurich to make some serious beats for the Jerona Fruits camp. Amongst some of his solo projects that will be seen on Jerona Fruits soon and a project with d&b don Mathematics, he has teamed up with Tin man to make Better Run.  Their upfront and in your face production method is absolutely outstanding, fantastic use of samples, surgically clean beats and a powerful creeping bassline really push this song out of the speakers and into your head. Big up the Swiss massive!

C:Andyskopes- Africa is Zion (GREAT BRITAIN)

New artist Andyskopes has been bubbling under for a long time now. Already receiving massive support from dj's such as Flight and Bailey amongst many more, this South London bad bwoy has been churning out dubby anthems for Jerona. This is a perfect example of just what he's capable of, managing to be reminiscent of certain great artists on the scene's sound, using dub vocals and lush pads, whilst keeping his very own aggressive edge on the tune and buckets of intelligent drum programming. Africa is Zion is a sure fire hit for anyone who likes their tunes gritty, dubby and soulful.

D: FX909- Bad Attitude (FRANCE)

FX909 has had a lot of recent success on the liquid drum and bass scene all over the world. With recent releases on Defunked, Media and Close Combat Recordings, he's proving himself to be an important part of the growth of the liquid sound in the UK and elsewhere. Jerona Fruits have been working with FX909 for a long time trying to find the right song to put out on this double pack, Bad Attitude is exactly what they were after. With its minimalistic sounds, simple but effective beats and the subbiest bassline you've ever heard, this track sucks you in at the start and spits you out when it's over. A mind blowingly simple and amazing tune.

Jerona Fruits releases continue to obtain huge support from such prestigious DJ's as FLIGHT, SAPPO, LAROQUE, ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE, EZ ROLLERS, TRICKSTA, DISTORTED MINDS, LTJ BUKEM, HOLDTIGHT, AQUASKY, BLAME, MOSUS (V RECS/MOVEMENT), GREG PACKER, FX909, KASRA CRITICAL, KUBIKS & BCEE, L DOUBLE, BAILEY and NOOKIE amongst many more.
