FEB'S FWD>>

T'was the first Forward>> of 2005 featuring the low down dirty sub-bass skills of Scientist and Youngsta, followed by 1 Xtra's J Da Flex. Unfortunately I missed Scientist's set but dubplate.net rumour has it that it was damn fine Forward>> debut. Youngsta started his usual low-down-dutty-dub-sub-bass sounds with Loefah's incredible remix of Skreamz 'Moonson'. Other Youngsta drops on the night included Digital Mystikz 'Neverland' still one of the finest tunes around at the moment, and some wicked new dub's by D1. Highlight of the night for me though had to be J Da dropping Roni Size's 'New Forms', underneath a live saxophonist (anyone know his name?). It's been a long time since I've heard that track dropped in a club so to hear it at Forward>> after a superb night of Dub and Bass quite simply took the piss.

Hopefully, there will be some photos online very shortly which I took with my brand new old skool Russian Holga Camera... it looks like a toy but I have faith in old analogue equipment so fingers crossed for some nice weird results....

If you still haven't heard it, check Kode9's latest 'Babel' mix for D1's 'Enigma', Loefah's 'Monsoon remix' and the Mystikz 'Neverland' amongst some other grubby diamonds.
