Sonic Life Cycles

Above is an 8 minute video piece which I made in September for UCL's Creative Edge workshop that I attended with John Eden and Martin Blackdown Clark amongst others http://drumzofthesouth.blogspot.com/2009/09/creative-edge.html

By highlighting that most musical genres and producers, regardless of their Geography, are affected and motivated by similar concerns and issues, I attempted to challenge the central idea of the workshop that London's outer territories give birth to the most interesting artists and art-forms.

The video is also an homage to the music documentary / film which is largely born out of the passion of music fans, or in contrast, media interest.

Please note that it is slightly tongue-in-cheek, not to be taken too seriously!

Thanks to Eden of www.uncarved.org for his collaboration and help with the project and the talk!

Kitty Meow Meow / Time Warp
Kitty, Kitty, Meow, Meow / Time Warp

Haynes Lane Market (down the street where Pizza Hut used to be- get sucked into a time warp- there's a lady with such a treasure trove of stuff that she may as well live there. She plays trance. I'll try to dig out some photos of her.

I'm pleased to see Jackie is wearing pants.

Walk round the triangle past the old McDonalds.

There was once some graffiti on here which said " soon to be another estate agents or coffee shop; a big local debate about whether it was Banksy as it linked directly to a Banksy-esque Grim Reaper painted onto the wall of the then doomed Library.

"We've been waiting for our Panini's for an hour and a half."

Food for thought...are we all destined to become couples that only speak to each other over a meal when they have a complaint?
