Meanwhile Big Dada label artist/Roots Manuva Remixer and pioneer of "disposable graffiti" Part 2, takes time out to promote his forthcoming New Flesh album 'Universally Dirty', by throwing down some bass heavy waist grinders. Photos from The Bug's gig at The Brighton Concorde 2 a couple of weeks ago now online. His set featuring the mighty Warrior Queen and Ras B went off. DJ Scotch Egg followed... I couldn't figure out quite what he was about but it was highly amusing and definitely unique. Must be the first time I've ever heard music made through an old skool Game-boy. Whoever said performance art was dead? I've tried to forget one of the other bands that played. All I remember is thinking 'this is what armageddon sounds like.'
